Our Foundation Principles

Our Calling

To be transformed to the image of Christ for the purpose of advancing the Kingdom of God.

"And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit."

2 Corinthians 3:18

"He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."

Colossians 1:13-14

Our Foundation

Huron Park Baptist Church seeks to serve Christ and His Kingdom with our feet firmly planted on a Biblical foundation that will never falter. These five Biblical principles, which we call our “Kingdom Foundations”, provide the basis by which we engage in Christian service and ministry.

Five Pillars of Faith

1. Building Unshakeable Faith

Through a commitment to Biblical Authority.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17)

2. Building Christlike Character

Through the renewal of our minds.
(Romans 12:2)

3. Building A Caring Community

Through the Great Commandment.
(Matthew 22:34-40)

4. Building The Kingdom of God

Through the Great Commission.
(Matthew 28:19-20)

5. Building By The Power Of The Holy Spirit

Through passionate and persistent prayer.
(James 5:16)

Our Mission Field

Community

Huron Park Baptist Church actively seeks to reach into its community and meet the needs of body, soul, and spirit that are found within. As a church, we have committed to engage in direct community service, partner with local agencies specialised in focused needs, build meaningful relationship with communities of unsaved souls, provide intentional moments of direct Gospel witness, and use our facilities responsibly to maximally bless those around us – all for the glory of God.

Country

Huron Park Baptist Church recognises that Canada is a country just as needful of the Gospel as anywhere else in the world today. As a church, we have responded to this opportunity by dedicating ourselves to the intentional training of godly church leaders, partnering in provincial and national church planting opportunities, and committing to missions engagement in our own national context. Further, HPBC looks forward to increasingly engaging in the unique cultural communities that comprise our nation.

World

Huron Park Baptist Church submits itself faithfully and completely to the commission of our Lord to, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold I am with you always, to the end of the age." [Matt: 28:19-20]. In obedience, HPBC is responding by sending dedicated missionaries to the unreached people groups of the world, supporting active efforts for church planting and discipleship, training local leaders for active ministry, mobilising community projects as vectors for Gospel outreach and equipping local believers for life and faith.
